Céramique – Les Fréhel

The Fréhel series unveils new pieces inspired by the sea of the Emerald Coast. Wind-sculpted cliffs, salty sea spray, and shifting light are expressed through deep gradients of blues and greens, with both vibrant and subtle nuances.

This handcrafted ceramic vase, wheel-thrown in stoneware, draws from a reinterpreted celadon tradition. Through a precise oxidation process, the glaze reveals living transitions, where intentional drips evoke the movement of water over rock. The material appears in constant transformation, animated by fire and gesture.

A third firing with a fine gold lustre enriches the surface with precious highlights, creating a dialogue between mineral depth and luminous reflections. This delicate finish suggests changing light, like the one that glides across the sea throughout the day.

Each unique ceramic piece becomes a fragment of landscape, suspended between land and sea. Both a contemporary vase and an art object, it embodies a vision of French ceramics where exceptional craftsmanship, design, and emotion converge.
