Portrait of Karen Swami

A graduate of ESCP-EAP, KAREN SWAMI’s career path includes the world of finance and film production, but with a wheel installed in her office and a CAP in pottery. Her passion for clay dates back to the age of 5 and has never left her. Little by little, the pieces of size have invaded her space and time, seducing collectors and propelling her to the forefront. From black stoneware, white porcelain, cobalt blue, celadon to Kintsugi, all her pottery pieces are unique.

Touching, turning, smoothing, incising, inlaying, movement accompanies each stage of manufacturing. In the firing processes, reduction or conversely air oxidation play their role, transforming the glazes and the colors of the pots or jars.
